Ahnaf Alam is one of those Bangladeshis in diaspora who are playing an important role in brightening the image of Bangladesh through their works. He is the executive director of the New American Democratic Club, one of the organizations in the United States. He is also the President of the New American Youth Forum, New York.
Ahnaf Alam was born in Balakhal of Hajiganj in Chandpur. His father’s name is Md. Mosharraf Hossain and mother’s name is Nazma Akter. Ahnaf Alam received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from York College, City University of New York. He is the only Bangladeshi student to be elected Vice-President twice consecutively at York College. The number of students in this college is more than 7,500. After passing SSC in 1998 from Balakhal JL High School in his village, HSC in 2,000 from Balakhal Maqbul Ahmed College, he got admission in Chandpur College with honors. While studying there, he moved to America on a family visa and enrolled in college. He is currently serving an important position in the New York City Department of Finance. Prior to this, he served as the manager of Maritime Hotel.
This young and smart leader thinks that Bangladesh is a country with great potential. But for this, it is necessary to reduce mutual political distances between the parties. For this, the good committee of the country should be recognized by others.
