Sharmin Nahar Lina is a prominent figure in Bangladesh’s media sector, renowned for her work as a distinguished news broadcaster on NTV International Television Channel. Sharmin was born with a passion for language and literature. She completed her academic journey at Jahangirnagar University, where she gained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Bengali Literature. With her exceptional knowledge of her mother tongue and its rich literary heritage, she laid the groundwork for a career that saw her become a recognized voice in the media. Sharmin firstly found herself in the spotlight as a Program Presenter for Bangla Vision Channel.

Her position as the Executive Advisor of Social Change for Development (SCD) in Dhaka is an example of her passion for social work. As the Country Representative of the Protect Us Kids Foundation, based in the USA, Sharmin extends her influence globally, advocating for the protection and well-being of children.Her commitment to having a significant impact across national boundaries is further demonstrated by this role.
Sharmin holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Media Forum of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in South Korea, in addition to her job duties in the media and social work. A successful young leader, Sharmin worked as the International Youth Committee’s (IYC) Deputy Ambassador from 2018 to 2019. Sharmin’s foreign experience is massive, having represented Bangladesh in conferences in the United States of America, Turkey, England, Dubai, Australia, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, and the Maldives.
