Mr. Pryalal Karmakar “Prio” is a United States Marine Veteran, who served an Active Duty in the US Marine Corps during the year of 1999 to 2004. He moved to the USA back in 1997 from Bangladesh. He has contributed to the US Navy and Marine Corps Education and Training Systems efficiencies affected directly to the service members and the US. Arms Forces. Also served in the Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) Headquarter, Marine Corps System Command, Quantico, Virginia and Naval Audit Services, Washington, DC. Currently, he is in the civil service with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Defense Health HeadQuarter (DHHQ) formerly known as TriCare Management Activity (TMA) as a Chief Engineer.  He is overseeing more than 200 Government and contracting engineers to manage multi-millions dollars contract for 20 plus programs, 30 plus projects and over 100 plus Defense Systems including but not limited to an Engineering Architectural, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Pilot programs, Procurement Alternative of Analysis (AoA), Cyber Security Frameworks, Financial Studies, Budgetary Programs, Marine Corps Action Tracking Systems (MCAT) across DoD and other government agencies. Served as an Advisor for the Arlington County Government Board, Arlington, Virginia to advise the County Board Members, the County Manager and County staff on proposed alternative business models, budget development process, and to develop a new business process.

Mr. Karmakar voluntarily served Bangladesh Center for Community Development, Inc. (BCCDI) (www.dcbanglaschool.com) as an Executive Director, Cultural Director, Vice President and President during the year of 2006-2011. Currently he is serving the non-profit organization Prio Bangla, Inc. (www.priobangla.org) as a Chief Executive Director, who is also a founder of this organization. Serving Executive members of the FOBANA (Federation of Bangladeshi Association of North America), he is also a Director of FAMACASH, Director of NRB Capitol, CEO of P4 International LLC. Mr. Karmakar, also an advisor of many other non-profit organizations. He has served two times as a coordinator for the DC Ekushey Alliance (DCEA), a joint platform of 30 plus nonprofits organizations who celebrate International Mother Language Day (IMLD) every year in the Washington DC metro Area. Mr. Karmakar’s dedication and high management skills, along with volunteer team play has produced nine multicultural Street festivals, multicultural Car Parades, many theatricals, dramatics, cinematics, cultural productions, Arts and Photography Exhibitions and published many humanities publications in Northern Virginia. Also under his strong leadership, Prio Bangla is producing many social services such as Free Medical Clinics, Dental Services, Immigration and legal advice center, Virginia Humanities Projects, Active Civic Engagement including Climate Change Awareness program etc.

Mr. Karmakar completed his Bachelor in 2004 and Master in 2008, majoring in Computer Science from The George Washington University. He is also the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and completed Amphibious Warfare Diploma from Marine Corps University, Quantico, VA. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D./Doctorate in Organizational Leadership in Management and Technologies. He is a member of George Washington University Oracle Academic Initiative, Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Mr. Karmakar has received numerous appreciations, recognitions and distinguishes achievement awards like National Defense Medal from US Defense, Certificate of Appreciation from Navy College, Department of Navy, US Defense Meritorious Masts, Navy Unit Commendations, Appreciation and Recognition from the Arlington County Board, Arlington, Virginia, Special recognition award and Appreciation from Defense Health Agency (DHA), 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of USA Federal Government length of service and many annual excellent performance service awards from US Federal and Department of Defense. He has also received FOBANA Leadership and FOBANA Chairperson Awards.
