Golam Faroque Bhuiyan, the Chairman and Founder of the GFB Group, is undoubtedly one of them. His remarkable journey from the heart of Bangladesh to the thriving business landscapes of the United States reflects not just personal success but also the triumph of dedication and vision. Born in Debidar, Comilla, Bangladesh, Mr. Bhuiyan’s educational journey took him through Debidar High School, Comilla Victoria College, and eventually Dhaka University, where he earned honors and master’s degrees. His career commenced at AP (Ayurveda Pharmacy) in Bangladesh, but it was his keen business acumen that transformed it into a robust group of thriving industries.
Emigrating to the USA in 1997, Mr. Bhuiyan pursued a higher degree in Information Technology and worked at Nextel Telecommunication and AT&T. Despite a prestigious job, his entrepreneurial spirit remained unyielding. In 2001, he ventured into the business of export, import, and distribution by founding Ninon Corporation. This seed blossomed into today’s globally renowned the GFB Group, that comprising Aromatic Innovations, Ninon Corporation, Ninon Industrial Realty, and the acquisition of Orpheus Ltd in 2015.
Beyond his business acumen, Mr. Bhuiyan is a patron of Art & Culture, actively participating in various cultural activities since his school days. His involvement extends to sponsoring the Mukthadhara- GFB literary awards and holding leadership roles in organizations promoting Bengali Art, Culture, and Heritage. As the past President of the Bangladesh Association of New Jersey and an executive member of FOBANA and Muktadhara Foundation, he has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape.
