MD Nasirul Hakim, one of the luminaries of Bangladesh, has become able to establish himself as one of the shining stars in trade and commerce arena in Japan. He is the Founding Chairman and Managing Director of Hat Company Ltd, is one of the fast growing automobile trading companies in Japan.
Self-confident and dreamy business personality MD Nasirul Hakim was born on August 6, 1966 in an aristocratic educated business family of Narayanpur under Pangsha upazila of Rajbari. His father late Abdul Mahmed, was a first-class contractor at that time in the greater Faridpur district. His mother late Mrs. Begum Lutfun, was an enthusiastic female personality who was able to educate each of her 5 sons and 5 daughters.
From childhood, Nasirul was very talented. He completed his SSC from Pangsha George High School in 1983, HSC from Pangsha College in 1985 and post-graduate degree with honors in Accounting from Rajshahi University in 1990. He came to Japan on a student visa in 1990 and was admitted to a language institute in Japan. After completing the language course, he enrolled at Fuji Business College in Japan and earned a diploma degree in business management. At the end of his studies, he worked as an export director in an established export company in Japan.
At one stage, Nasirul came to country and got married to Raunak Jahan in 1996 who comes from an aristocratic family in Cumilla. Raunak Jahan is involved herself in cultural activities, music and art and literature. He returned to Japan with his wife and started thinking about establishing a business besides job. At one stage in 2002, he established a car export company Hat Company Ltd. He exports cars to Bangladesh, Russia and England through his company.
Besides car export business, they also have a manpower recruiting business. Hakim Md. Nasirul’s wife Raunak Jahan has been performing duties as Chairman of JBCC which is a manpower recruiting business firm. The couple is blessed with three children. Their eldest son Tanim Mahmud is a final year student of Hakim University, the only daughter Nawrin Hakim is a bachelor’s degree holder and the youngest son Tanvin Mahmud is a seventh grade student. MD Nasirul Hakim thinks that if you work with honesty and sincerity, you can get success anywhere in the world. Very amiable person MD Nasirul Hakim sponsors various socio-cultural activities of the Bangladesh community in Japan. He is the Chief Adviser of the Greater Faridpur Association, Japan. This organization is a meeting place of Bangladeshis there. Every year they used to hold founding anniversaries and cultural events. He is the Principal of Swaralipi, one of the cultural organizations of Bangladeshis there. His wife Raunak Jahan is a prominent poet and songwriter. The family of MD Nasirul Hakim is a well-known one at Pangsha. His elder brother Zillul Hakim is a Member of Parliament from Rajbari-2 constituency who has been elected for 4 times. He is also an important organizer of the Awami League. One of his brothers, Bazlul Hakim, lives in New York and owns an audit firm there. Among others two brothers, Lutful Hakim and Iqbal Hakim are established businessmen in Dhaka.
