Mohammed Enayetur Rahman is a Bangladeshi luminary in global entrepreneurship. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Ulkasemi, a high-tech company with offices in Silicon Valley, California, USA and Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ulkasemi provides semiconductor design services for major technology companies based in the USA and Asia.
Mohammed Enayetur Rahman obtained his BSc in Electric & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and MSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. He started his career as a Design Engineer at major US semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in 1984. During his time there, Enayet worked in the Resource Planning, Strategy Making, Product Planning, and Risk Management roles in addition to his work as an engineer. He attended Engineering Management courses at engineering powerhouse Stanford University, Palo Alto, California to help him succeed in these various positions. After securing a US patent in Data Communication Systems, he went on to work at various other semiconductor companies in Silicon Valley.
He spent time at Japanese company Oki Semiconductor, Virtual Silicon, and Syntera Communication. After more than 20 years of working as an employee, he established his engineering firm Ulkasemi in 2007. Through innovative work, Ulkasemi has proved that it is unmatched in the field of high technology. Today, it is the largest company of its kind in Bangladesh thanks to the talent, labor, sincerity and self-confidence of Mohammed Enayetur Rahman. There are now more than 140 Ulkasemi employees working in Bangladesh and abroad for various global electronics companies. Ulkasemi assists its clients in developing their next flagship product lines such as mobile devices, complex routers and switches, computer storage, microprocessors, and graphics processors. All these products require complex semiconductor chips that must be designed and tested to the highest cutting-edge standards.
