Engr. Abu Noman Howlader is the Chairman of BBS Cables Ltd., a renowned company in the electrical cables and conductors industry. He is also the founder of BBS Group and Nahee Group. Engr. Abu Noman Howlader holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology). He was born in Bhola District and completed his secondary education at Karimgonj High School, Lalmohon, Bhola, and his higher secondary education at Rajshahi City College.
His professional career began in 1997 when he joined Sinha Textile Group as an Assistant Engineer (Mechanical). In 2000, driven by his ambition to become an industrialist and contribute to employment generation, he started exploring new business opportunities. In 2003, his dream came true when he, along with other entrepreneurs, established Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd. (BBSL), which has become one of the leading brands in pre-engineered steel buildings in Bangladesh. Engr. Abu Noman Howlader’s visionary leadership and adaptability have played a significant role in establishing BBSL as a trusted name in the pre-engineered steel building sector. He also serves as the President of the Steel Building Manufacturers Association of Bangladesh (SBMA) and actively contributes to various social organizations. With the increasing urbanization worldwide, the demand for efficient power transmission has become crucial for sustainable industrial growth. BBS Cables aims to manufacture electrical cables, wires, and conductors of the highest quality while providing unparalleled customer service. The company strongly believes that a relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement is the key to long-term success. To achieve this, BBS Cables envisions the establishment of an electric cable manufacturing factory equipped with state-of-the-art equipment capable of producing copper and aluminum conductors up to 500 mm2 in size. The factory will feature a copper wire drawing machine with an inline annealing facility. It will produce various types of cables, including PVC Insulated & PVC Sheathed Copper Cables, PVC Insulated & PVC Sheathed Armored Copper Cables, PVC Insulated & PVC Sheathed Copper Screen Cables, PVC Insulated & PVC Sheathed Copper Shield Cables, PVC Insulated & PVC Sheathed Field Limiting Copper Shield Armored Cables, Flexible Cable, PVC Non-Sheathed Cables, PVC Insulated and PVC Sheathed Flat Cables, among others. BBS Cables is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and machinery to manufacture and test cables, wires, and conductors that conform to the latest national and international standards, such as the International Electro-technical Commission (IEC), German Standard (VDE), British Standard (BS), Bangladesh Standard (BDS), Australian Standard (AS), Indian Standard (IS), as well as specific customer requirements.
